2️⃣ Préparez vos dates de chasse,
3️⃣ Le jour de la chasse, prenez contact avec les particuliers intéressés pour avoir du gibier !

📊 Real threats to biodiversity? Not hunting. Here’s what the data show
Back in 2020, the EU’s State of Nature report sparked confusion by suggesting that hunting was a major pressure on species and habitats. Many still repeat this claim today.
But when you look at the actual evidence, the picture is completely different — and it has not changed.
📊 Member States reported hunting as a high-ranking pressure in less than 1% of cases.
Here are the facts:
• Habitats: Hunting accounted for just 0.05% of reported high pressures.
• Species (non-birds): 0.17% of high pressures — including some questionable listings.
• Birds: Only 2.58% of pressures, far below agriculture, forestry, climate change, invasive species and habitat loss.
So why does the myth persist?
Because early communications grouped legal hunting together with illegal killing, creating misleading headlines that spread quickly and became hard to correct.
But the data are clear — and they still stand today.
⚠️ Biodiversity is under real pressure — but not from hunting.
The major drivers are habitat loss, land use change, invasive species, pollution, and climate impacts. Hunters are not the problem; in fact, they are a crucial part of the solution.
🌿 Europe’s hunters conserve habitats, manage wildlife, restore wetlands, support monitoring and invest millions of voluntary hours every year. Evidence-based conservation needs their contribution — not myths and misinformation.
Let’s keep the discussion honest, scientific and focused on the real threats to nature.
